We market a limited amount of freezer beef. With the addition of DNA marker testing, we now will have beef that is not only home-raised, hormone and chemical free, but rated to be highly tender and tasteful. Availability and price varies, so please contact us if you are interested in being on our list of satisfied customers.

We are still working out details to define our final version of what Tailwind Genetics will represent to our customers. However, an animal identified as a Tailwind Genetics contributor will carry a minimum of 14 stars based on the current GeneStar test of 11 categories. We are running about 39% of tested animals hitting this benchmark going into testing our 2007 calf crop. We will be adding more criteria to our Tailwind Genetics Program over the next months so that our fall production sale can feature some elite animals of the breed.
